A ratio that many people with Type 1 Diabetes use to calculate how much insulin to give at meal time. The ratio is the number of grams of carbohydrate that one unit of insulin covers. For example, an insulin to carb ratio of 1:15 means that the person takes 1 unit of insulin for every 15 grams of carbohydrate they eat.
