Retinopathy is a complication of diabetes that affects the eyes; it can also be called diabetic eye disease. Retinopathy is a disease of the retina that can lead to vision impairment and loss. It is caused by damage to the blood vessels of the light-sensitive tissues at the back of the eye (retina).There are different stages of retinopathy.
